Police have arrested two more people involved in the violent pro-monarchy protest that took place in Tinkune.
The arrested are 45-year-old Dil Kumar Shrestha from Arun Rural Municipality-5, Bhojpur, and 30-year-old Jit Bahadur Shrestha from Lisankhu Pakhar Rural Municipality-4, Sindhupalchok.
The Kathmandu District Court has extended their custody by 20 days under charges of criminal violence and organized crime.
With these arrests, the total number of people detained in connection to the incident has reached 75.
The protest, led by Durga Prasai on Chaitra 15, had turned violent, resulting in the deaths of two people and incidents of vandalism, arson, and looting of private property.
