In a heartbreaking accident, two one-year-old children died after falling into a septic tank in Chandrapur Municipality-10, Nibuwa Tole, Rautahat.
The victims were Ranje Sah, son of Garima Sah, and Khushbu Sah, daughter of Jagdish Sah. According to Rautahat District Police, the incident happened around 7:45 PM on Tuesday evening while the children were playing near a toilet owned by local resident Hridaya Paswan.
They were immediately taken to the government hospital in Chhapur, but doctors declared them dead at 8:15 PM. Police are currently investigating the incident further.
