On Friday, India secured their spot in the final by defeating England by 9 wickets in the second semifinal in Kuala Lumpur. Earlier, in the first semifinal, South Africa won against Australia by 5 wickets to reach the final.
England set a target of 114 runs, which India achieved in just 15 overs, losing only 1 wicket. India’s opener, Kamalini, scored an unbeaten 56 runs, hitting 8 boundaries off 50 balls. England, who batted first after winning the toss, managed only 113 runs after losing 8 wickets.
For England, opener Davina Perrin scored 45 runs. In bowling, India’s Parunika Sisodia and Vaishnavi Sharma took 3 wickets each.
Now, India and South Africa will compete for the title on Sunday.
