The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has granted amnesty to 166 Nepali prisoners. The decision was made in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan and the Eid festival, according to Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ministry expressed gratitude to the UAE government for granting amnesty to the Nepali prisoners.
In a statement released today, the Ministry described the UAE’s gesture as a positive example of strong bilateral relations.
The amnesty was granted following a request made by the Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
