UML leader Narendra Kathayat from Khairkot, Pachal Jharna Rural Municipality-2 in Kalikot, has died after falling from a cliff.
Kathayat, who was 32 years old and the deputy secretary of the Pachaljharana village committee, was returning home from Jajarkot on Monday evening when he slipped and fell from the Lafa cliff.
According to district police information officer Govinda Prasad Chaudhary, the accident happened because the road was difficult to walk on. He slipped and fell off the cliff, dying on the spot. Chaudhary also said that Kathayat fell near the Karnali River, which caused his death.
