Social media sensation Uorfi Javed has shared her first Instagram post after emerging as one of the winners of The Traitors season one. In a heartfelt message, she looked back at her tough journey from getting evicted in just one week from Bigg Boss OTT (2021) to now standing victorious in a high-stakes reality show.
From eviction to victory: Uorfi’s comeback story
Uorfi posted a powerful video clip that began with Karan Johar announcing her early exit from Bigg Boss OTT. The video then jumped to her emotional moment of victory in The Traitors. Alongside the clip, she poured her heart out, reflecting on the past four years of struggle, setbacks, and strength.
“I wanted to give up”: Uorfi talks about dark times
In her emotional post, Uorfi revealed that the journey wasn’t easy. “From being the first to get eliminated on Bigg Boss to winning The Traitors… I’ve cried so much, had countless breakdowns, and even thought of giving up,” she wrote. She opened up about facing constant online and offline hate, including threats to her life.
“I took a loan to buy clothes for Bigg Boss”
Uorfi also recalled the financial challenges she faced during her Bigg Boss days. “I had to borrow clothes from friends just to appear on the show. Back then, I didn’t even know if I’d be able to repay them,” she added. Despite all odds and doubts from others, she kept going. “Even now, people doubt me—but I never stopped, and I never will,” she said.
“When you don’t like something a girl does, just drop the ‘R’ word”
Uorfi spoke out about the online abuse and threats she faced after winning the show. “Not the first time I’ve been threatened or abused like this but this time it’s not because of my clothes but because I won a show. Imagine being so petty that when your favourite player doesn’t win you resort to abusing and threatening. These are the most decent ones I uploaded. No matter what I do, people just love hating and abusing. Harsh ko na nikalti toh pyar me andhi, harsh ko nikal diya toh dhokhebaaz. Purav ko jeetne deti toh bewakoof, nahi jeetne diya toh cheater. Hate has never stopped me before, it never will now,” she wrote.
Outwitting the traitors: the final win
The finale of The Traitors aired on Thursday, where Uorfi and co-contestant Nikita Luther won season one, sharing the ₹70 lakh prize. The show, hosted in a grand palace with 20 celebrity contestants, was all about mind games, betrayal, and survival. In the final twist, Uorfi and Nikita, both ‘faithful’ players, successfully identified and outplayed traitors Harsh Gujral and Purav Jha.
Who else joined the game?
The Traitors featured a star-studded cast including Maheep Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, Raj Kundra, Ashish Vidyarthi, Karan Kundrra, Lakshmi Manchu, Apoorva Makhija, Raftaar, Mukesh Chhabra, Sudhanshu Pandey, Jannat Zubair, and more. But it was Uorfi’s smart strategy and resilience that helped her claim the trophy.
