Update: One Dead in Sindhuli EV Accident

Sindhuli EV Accident

A private electric vehicle (EV) traveling from Jhapa to Kathmandu met with an accident in Sindhuli, resulting in the death of the driver. According to police, the deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Sushant Nepali from Gaurishankar Rural Municipality, Dolakha.

The accident occurred around 3:45 AM in Golanjor Rural Municipality-5 along the BP Highway. Five others were injured, with one person in critical condition, said Sindhuli Police Chief SP Govindaraj Kafle.

The critically injured, identified as 34-year-old Devi Limbu from Letang Municipality-2, Morang, is undergoing treatment at Sindhuli Hospital. The other injured include:

  • 53-year-old San Bahadur Tamang from Deumai Municipality-8, Ilam
  • 28-year-old Sweta Giri from Kageshwori Manohara Municipality-5, Kathmandu
  • 28-year-old Sanjay Rokka from the same area in Kathmandu
  • 27-year-old Kisku Mandal from Barhadashi Rural Municipality-1, Jhapa

Police reported that the vehicle went out of control and fell about 400 meters from the highway.
