Television actor Vibhu K Raghave, best known for his role as Saurav in the popular TV show Nisha Aur Uske Cousins, has passed away after a long and brave fight with a rare and aggressive form of stage 4 colon cancer. He was reportedly in his late 30s.
He Died on June 2 in Mumbai
Vibhu had been undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mumbai, where he breathed his last on Monday night (June 2, 2025). His close friend and TV actress Saumya Tandon confirmed the heartbreaking news on Instagram the following morning.
A Heartfelt Tribute from Saumya Tandon
In an emotional Instagram post, Saumya Tandon remembered Vibhu as a beautiful soul and a true fighter.
“My beautiful friend Vibhu Raghave with angels now. Left us last night. Vibhu you were beautiful. Inside and out. You taught me how to smile even when everything was falling apart… You never stopped,” she wrote.
She also shared that they had plans to create video content about his journey, but sadly, time ran out.
“We thought we had time. We didn’t… I’m going to try to live life like you did – fully, fiercely, with heart. Thank you for being my friend,” Saumya added.
He Fought Till the End
Vibhu had publicly shared his cancer journey with his followers through his Instagram account. From his diagnosis to chemotherapy sessions and health updates, he kept his well-wishers informed and often expressed his gratitude for their support.
In a video blog posted in January 2025, he revealed that the cancer had aggressively spread to his liver, spine, lungs, and other parts of his body.
Cancer Diagnosis in 2022
Vibhu first revealed his diagnosis in February 2022, when he posted a video from his hospital bed. He explained:
“I was sick for the last few days, and about two weeks ago, they found a stage 4 cancer in me… It’s rare and aggressive. In a day, life changed completely. But we are trying to stay strong.”
Remembering Vibhu’s Career
Apart from Nisha Aur Uske Cousins, Vibhu was also known for his role in Suvreen Guggal – Topper of the Year. He appeared in the 2016 film Rhythm as well. His performances were appreciated for their sincerity and depth.
Family and Funeral
Vibhu is survived by his mother, brother, and sister. Saumya Tandon also shared details about his funeral procession in her post to allow fans and friends to pay their final respects.
