Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, who has been a key player for the team for many years, finally showed signs of regaining his form in the third and final ODI against England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Kohli scored a half-century off 50 balls, marking his 73rd fifty in ODI cricket.

During his innings, Kohli had a few close calls, including a near run-out, but he managed to reach his fifty. However, he couldn’t turn it into a big score, as England’s spinner Adil Rashid dismissed him. Kohli edged the ball, and England’s wicketkeeper Phil Salt caught it behind the stumps.

What happened next was quite dramatic. England players appealed loudly, but the umpire didn’t give an immediate decision. Before the review process even started, Kohli had already started walking off the field, knowing he had edged the ball. Seeing Kohli leave, the umpire then raised his finger to confirm the dismissal.

Kohli had missed the first ODI of the series due to a knee injury, and in the second match, he was dismissed for just 5 runs, raising concerns about his form. Though he would have hoped for a bigger score in the final ODI, Rashid once again proved to be his weakness.

With this match, both Kohli and Rohit Sharma have shown signs of returning to form. Rohit had scored a century in the second ODI, and Kohli’s fifty in the third match suggests that India’s experienced batters are finding their rhythm again.
