Virat Kohli's Sweet Tribute to Anushka Sharma on Her Birthday: A Love Story Through the Years

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have long been the subject of immense admiration from their fans. Whether it’s a fleeting moment or a shared interaction, the couple’s connection always leaves their admirers excited. On May 1, 2025, as Anushka celebrates her birthday, let’s rewind to a memorable moment from March 17, 2015, when Virat publicly praised Anushka’s performance in the film NH10, even before their marriage.

Virat, in a tweet shared on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, expressed his admiration for the film and Anushka’s acting skills: “Just watched #NH10 and I am blown away,” he wrote. He went on to call it a “brilliant film” and singled out Anushka’s exceptional performance, adding, “SO PROUD :)”

Anushka, in turn, responded with gratitude, tweeting, “@imVkohli Thank you. SO happy 😊.” This sweet exchange of appreciation was a perfect example of their strong bond, long before they were married.

NH10, an action thriller released in 2015, featured Anushka Sharma in a pivotal role alongside Neil Bhoopalam, Darshan Kumaar, and Deepti Naval. It also marked Anushka’s debut as a producer.

After years of dating, Anushka and Virat exchanged vows in December 2017 in an intimate wedding ceremony in Italy. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Vamika, in January 2021. In February 2024, the couple joyously announced the arrival of their second child, a son named Akaay Kohli. Their heartfelt statement shared the news: “With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay & Vamika’s little brother into this world! We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives.”

On the professional front, Anushka Sharma had been set to play the role of Jhulan Goswami in the much-anticipated biographical sports drama Chakda ‘Xpress, but the film has yet to be released.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is currently playing in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL). His team, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), recently triumphed over Delhi Capitals (DC) in their latest match, with Virat contributing to the win by scoring a half-century.
