However, as the season concluded, it was revealed that Vishal Dadlani would be stepping away from the show, marking his departure after being a judge for six seasons.
Vishal announced his decision on Instagram, sharing a heartfelt video alongside his fellow judges, Shreya Ghoshal and Badshah. In the video, their undeniable chemistry and camaraderie were clear. Vishal explained that he was leaving due to the demands of the show, which kept him in Mumbai for six months every year. “I can’t stay stuck in Mumbai for 6 months each year,” he said, expressing his desire to regain his time.
In the caption accompanying the video, Vishal wrote, “Alvida, yaaro. 6 seasons mein jitna mazaa kiya, uss se bhi zyada yaad aayegi. @shreyaghoshal @badboyshah @adityanarayanofficial #IndianIdol @fremantleindia @sonytvofficial @aradhanabhola @chitralangeh Haqq se zyada pyaar milaa hai, iss show ki vajah se. Eternally grateful to everyone involved.” His message conveyed deep gratitude for the love and respect he received during his time on the show. Vishal also expressed his thanks to everyone he had worked with on Indian Idol 15, saying, “Only LOVE to each and all of you with an added apology to anyone I’ve left out here.” His departure has left many fans and colleagues emotional, with Adaa Khan leaving a “broken heart emoticon” in the comment section.
