A crucial hard drive containing sensitive VFX data from Vishnu Manchu’s upcoming film Kannappa has mysteriously gone missing. The incident has led to a police complaint at the Filmnagar Police Station in Hyderabad.
Courier Delivery Turns into a Mystery
The hard drive was reportedly shipped from Hive Studios in Mumbai to the office of Twenty Four Frames Factory Private Limited in Filmnagar via DTDC courier. According to delivery records, the parcel reached the office on May 25.
Office boy Raghu received the parcel and handed it over to a woman named Charita. However, after taking the hard drive, Charita has disappeared and remains untraceable.
Charita Allegedly Behind the Disappearance
When questioned by staff, Raghu confirmed that he gave the drive to Charita. Since then, she hasn’t returned, raising suspicions. Executive Producer Reddy Vijay Kumar of Twenty Four Frames Factory has lodged a complaint with the police, accusing Charita of acting under someone’s influence to harm the movie project deliberately.
Sensitive Data at Risk, Team Fears Huge Loss
The production team revealed in the complaint that the hard drive contained unreleased and confidential content vital to the Kannappa project. They fear that if the data is leaked or deleted, it could result in significant financial damage to the company.
Police Investigation Underway
The team has urged the police to recover the hard drive immediately and return it to them. An investigation is currently in progress to track down Charita and secure the sensitive material.
