Veteran Marathi actor, writer, and director Vivek Lagoo passed away on Thursday evening, June 19, 2025. He was 73. His final rites will be performed today at the Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai.

Personal Life and Legacy
Vivek Lagoo was previously married to celebrated actress Reema Lagoo, known for her iconic mother roles in Bollywood. They tied the knot in 1978, but later parted ways. The couple had a daughter, Mrunmayee Lagoo, who is now a successful writer and screenwriter, known for her work on ‘Thappad’ and ‘Scoop.’
Reema Lagoo passed away in 2017 due to a heart attack. She was widely loved for her motherly roles in films like ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ and ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain.’
