The weather in Nepal is currently being affected by western and local winds. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, moist air from the Bay of Bengal also influences the current weather.
This afternoon, the hilly regions of the country will see partly to generally cloudy skies, while other areas will have partly cloudy weather.
There is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some hilly areas. Light rain and snowfall are likely in some parts of the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces. Strong winds may blow in some parts of the Terai region of Lumbini Province.
Tonight, the weather in hilly areas will remain partly to generally cloudy, while the rest of the country will have clear skies.
Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible in a few places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Light rain and snowfall may occur in one or two places in the Himalayan areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
