Australia has included leg-spinner Tanveer Sangha in their playing XI for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 semifinal against India. The crucial clash is taking place at the Dubai International Stadium.

Sangha, 23, is a talented right-arm leg-spinner who has gained recognition through his performances in the Big Bash League (BBL) for the Sydney Thunder. He first made a name for himself in the U-19 World Cup in 2020, where he finished as the highest wicket-taker with 15 dismissals.

Born in Jalandhar, India, Sangha moved to Sydney at a young age as his father worked as a taxi driver. Apart from domestic cricket, he has also played in franchise leagues, featuring for teams like Birmingham Phoenix and Washington Freedom.

In List A cricket, Sangha has played 14 matches, taking 16 wickets with an economy rate of 5.86 and a bowling strike rate of 41.1. He has one four-wicket haul in the format and is known for breaking partnerships in the middle overs.
