How Will the Registration Process Work?

According to the Social Media Guidelines, every social media company must apply for registration with the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. They must also have:

  • A contact person inside Nepal
  • A responsible person to handle complaints
  • A monitoring officer to check if the platform is following self-regulation rules

Which Social Media Platforms Are Already Registered?

So far, only Viber, TikTok, and Weetok have completed their registration and are operating officially in Nepal.
