Banke police have arrested a woman with a large amount of brown sugar (heroin).
The woman, 34-year-old Pushpa Loniya from Ward No. 13 of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City, was caught with 19 grams and 2 milligrams of brown sugar. She was coming to Nepalgunj from the town of Rupaidiha, an Indian border town.
According to police, it appears that drug dealers used her as a carrier. Banke police spokesperson, DSP Deepak Paatli, said they found the brown sugar inside her bag after checking her because they became suspicious.
Police are still investigating whether she is directly involved in drug dealing or was only being used as a carrier.
