A young woman working at a restaurant in Shankar Nagar, Tilottama, Rupandehi, was found dead in the room where she had been sleeping.
The 20-year-old woman, Bimala Rana Kumal, from Marbhung, Raithum in Gulmi, was found dead in a room at a Newar snacks shop in Shankar Nagar, Tilottama-2. This was confirmed by DSP Bijay Pandit, head of the Butwal Area Police Office.
DSP Pandit said, “She was working at the snacks shop. After being found hanging in her room, we have started an investigation.”
According to him, her relatives have been informed and further investigation is ongoing.
The young woman had been working at the Newar snacks shop for 14 months and lived in a room there. She had posted a status on Facebook around 11:30 PM, remembering her parents.
Suryabahadur GC, the ward chairman of Malika Rural Municipality-8, said that after the incident was reported, the deceased’s father, Thaman Bahadur Kumal, and his wife were sent to Rupandehi.
