An elderly woman died after being hit by a truck in Sarkegad Rural Municipality-4, Karnali Corridor, Humla.
According to the police, the accident happened on Monday afternoon when a truck (plate number Bhe 1 Kha 3764) heading towards Simkot hit the woman.
The victim has been identified as 72-year-old Pankala Thapa from Dulli village, Sarkegad-4, as reported by the local police station.
Following the incident, locals blocked the road in protest.
