Xu Minghao Bridges Art and Fashion at Louis Vuitton Espace Beijing

Xu Minghao, widely known as THE8 from the globally renowned K-pop group SEVENTEEN, recently made waves in the world of fashion and contemporary art with his visit to the Espace Louis Vuitton Beijing. His presence marked a creative convergence between luxury fashion, fine art, and music.

The artist visited the “Malerei” exhibition, a striking presentation by German contemporary artist Albert Oehlen, as part of the Fondation Louis Vuitton’s Collection FLV initiative. This program aims to bring world-class contemporary art to Louis Vuitton’s cultural spaces across the globe. During his time at the Espace, Xu immersed himself in the abstract and boundary-pushing works, later expressing how deeply he resonated with the sense of freedom the pieces conveyed.

Known for his refined aesthetic and artistic sensibility, Xu’s engagement with the exhibition wasn’t just passive—he reflected on the dialogue between fashion and art, highlighting his own interest in how these creative disciplines intersect.

Further cementing his multifaceted role in the fashion world, Xu Minghao also contributed to the music production for Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter 2025 Men’s Fashion Show. Collaborating with Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Creative Director Pharrell Williams, Xu took part in crafting the soundtrack for the show—demonstrating that his talents extend far beyond the stage and into the realms of sound design and artistic direction.

Xu’s ongoing relationship with Louis Vuitton not only showcases his versatility but also elevates his presence as a cultural ambassador, seamlessly bridging K-pop, high fashion, and contemporary art. Whether on the runway or in a gallery, THE8 continues to leave an indelible mark with style, substance, and creativity.
