Yash Raj Films has released the title song for Come Fall In Love – The DDLJ Musical, a stage adaptation of the iconic 1995 Bollywood film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ), which starred Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Directed by Aditya Chopra, the musical is set to make its UK debut at the Manchester Opera House on May 29, 2025, and will run until June 21, 2025.
A Musical Tribute to DDLJ
The new musical features 18 original songs, celebrating Indian culture and the timeless love story that DDLJ became famous for. The title track, “Come Fall In Love,” has been composed by Vishal and Sheykhar, with lyrics by Nell Benjamin. This track, which blends nostalgia with fresh musical energy, has been created to build excitement for the upcoming show.

Sheykhar Ravjiani, one-half of the composer duo Vishal-Sheykhar, shared his excitement about working on the project: “It’s been an incredible experience creating the music for this musical, and this song is incredibly special. I’m confident the audience will love it and it will raise their anticipation for the show.”
His co-composer, Shekhar Dadlani, added that the title track aims to resonate with Indian audiences, invoking a sense of nostalgia while introducing the West to India’s rich cultural heritage. “We wanted to bring out the essence of India’s food, music, cinema, and culture in this song,” said Dadlani.
What to Expect from the Musical
The stage adaptation stars Jena Pandya as Simran and Ashley Day as Roger, taking on the beloved roles originally played by Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan. The musical features 18 new English-language songs, offering a modern twist to the classic story. The choreography, which incorporates Indian dance styles, is by Rob Ashford, with Shruti Merchant co-choreographing the Indian dance numbers.
