A 21-year-old motorcyclist lost his life after a container truck hit him in Sarlahi.
The accident happened around 9:30 PM on Wednesday at Bagmati Municipality-11 near Bagmati Bridge on the East-West Highway.
The victim has been identified as Gopal Yonjan.
He was riding a motorcycle (number 3-02-014 P 9877) when it was hit by a container truck (number 3-03-001 K 0070) coming from the opposite direction.
Yonjan died during treatment at the Malangwa Provincial Hospital.
He had sustained severe injuries in the crash.
The driver of the container has been arrested.
Police have taken 38-year-old Om Bahadur Lo Lama into custody and are continuing their investigation into the case.
