A sudden lightning strike during rainfall injured a young woman in Salyan district on Wednesday. The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Aarti Pun from Triveni Rural Municipality-1, Sagine.
According to Inspector Resham Bahadur Khatri of the Salyan District Police Office, Pun was sitting inside her home when the lightning struck nearby. She was immediately taken to the district hospital for treatment.
In a separate incident, four goats belonging to Pahalsingh Gaha of Kalimati Rural Municipality-5, Damdawali, were killed by lightning. The animals included two goats and two bucks.
