A 30-year-old woman named Renu Chaudhary was found murdered inside her rented room in Dhangadhi, Kailali. Police confirmed that her throat was slit with a sharp weapon, and she also had injuries on her temple.
Originally from Amar Basti, Reunbas Municipality-11 of Kanchanpur, Chaudhary had been working as an office assistant at the Drinking Water Corporation in Dhangadhi. She had been living in the rented room for the past two months.
DSP Rajkumar Singh, spokesperson for Kailali District Police Office, said this appears to be a murder case. A trained sniffer dog was also brought in to assist in the investigation.
Police revealed that she had been staying with a man in the same room, but his identity is still unknown. Further investigation is underway.
