In the wake of rising tensions following a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, YouTube India has removed the songs from the Pakistani film “Abir Gulal,” starring Fawad Khan. The decision comes after the Indian government imposed a ban on the film’s release in India, in response to the tragic attack that claimed the lives of 27 tourists.

Songs Unavailable Across Platforms

The film’s songs, including “Khuda Ishq” and “Angrezi Rang Rasiya,” were originally uploaded on the official YouTube channels of the production house and the music rights company, Saregama. However, these songs are no longer accessible on YouTube India, in line with the broader ban on the film’s promotion within the country.

Growing Backlash and Social Media Trends

The removal of the songs follows mounting calls for a ban on Fawad Khan’s film, which gained significant traction on social media after the Pahalgam attack. As public outrage grew, the Indian government acted swiftly to halt the film’s distribution and promotional material. This move further fueled the controversy surrounding the film, especially given the political climate in India.

No Official Statement on Upcoming Releases of Abir Gulal

While the film’s producers had announced the release of another song, “Tain Tain,” on Wednesday, it has yet to be made available. The team has not released any official statements regarding the song’s delay or the future of the film’s promotional efforts in India.
