Dhanashree Verma, the well-known social media influencer and content creator, and her family have strongly dismissed rumors suggesting that she demanded ₹60 crore as alimony from her estranged husband, Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. In a public statement, the family refuted the claims, emphasizing that no such amount had been requested, demanded, or offered. The statement urged the media to verify information before spreading unsubstantiated rumors, which only lead to unnecessary drama and affect the privacy of those involved.
Recently, speculations regarding Dhanashree’s supposed request for ₹60 crore as alimony had been circulating online, sparking considerable media attention. However, her family’s statement made it clear that these rumors were entirely false, and they criticized the irresponsible nature of such reporting.
Further clarifying the situation, Dhanashree’s lawyer, Aditi Mohan, addressed the ongoing divorce proceedings. She denied reports claiming that the divorce between Dhanashree and Yuzvendra Chahal had been finalized. “The matter is still sub judice, and I have no comments on the proceedings,” said Mohan. She also urged the media to exercise caution and fact-check their reports, as many misleading details had been making the rounds.
In contrast to earlier reports, there was no confirmation about the finalization of their divorce. It was recently rumored that the final hearing had taken place at the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai, with the couple being asked to attend a counseling session. During the session, both Dhanashree and Yuzvendra reportedly expressed their wish for a mutual divorce, citing compatibility issues as the reason for their separation. The two have been living apart for approximately 18 months.
This ongoing legal process and the false rumors surrounding it have raised concerns about the impact of unverified media reports on the individuals involved. Both Dhanashree and Yuzvendra have called for privacy and respectful handling of their personal lives during this time.
