4.8 Magnitude Earthquake Felt in Kathmandu

A mild earthquake was felt in Kathmandu on Thursday afternoon.

At 1:02 PM, a tremor of 4.8 magnitude was felt in Kathmandu, with its epicenter located in Majhitar, Sindhupalchok.

The National Earthquake Monitoring Center reported that the earthquake occurred near the Nepal-China border, 2 kilometers away from Jyamire, with Majhitar being the epicenter.

According to the center, a similar earthquake with a magnitude of 4.6 had occurred earlier on 16th Poush in the Nwaghara area of Sigas Rural Municipality, Bajhang.
