A young girl has died after drowning in a pond in Chandragiri Municipality.
Five-year-old Purnima Thapa from Kalimati Rural Municipality-4, Salyan, drowned in a pond built within an under-construction park in Ward No. 8 of the municipality.
After she was found drowning in the pond, her father, Ghanshyam, immediately took her to APF Hospital in Balambu. However, the hospital reported that she passed away during treatment.
