A young girl lost her life after being struck by a stone dislodged by a bulldozer. According to Chiranjivi Dahal, the information officer at the District Police Office, eight-year-old Bishnu Kumal died after being hit by a falling stone while on her way to school in Targau, Ishma Rural Municipality-2.
A JCB excavator was digging a dirt road from Chhaldi to Hastichaur when the incident occurred. The girl, who was walking below the construction site, was injured by the falling stone.
She was rushed to Gulmi Hospital for treatment, but doctors declared her dead upon arrival.
Locals have accused the JCB driver of negligence, blaming him for the girl’s death.
The police have taken the JCB driver, Rajesh Regmi from Makwanpur, into custody. A team led by Police Inspector Rajkumar Thapa from the District Police Office has been dispatched to the scene for further investigation.
