A 9-year-old boy tragically drowned in the swimming pool of Hotel Diyalo Lords Plaza, located in Adarshnagar, Birgunj-10.
The victim has been identified as Bajrangi Rauniyar, son of Pramod Rauniyar from Birgunj-11, according to DSP Kishor Lamsal, spokesperson for Parsa District Police.
The incident occurred around 7 PM on Wednesday evening. The boy was found unconscious in the pool and rushed to Narayani Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Police have started an investigation to find out how and why the boy ended up in the hotel’s swimming pool. DSP Lamsal said the family has requested to proceed with final rites, but details about how the boy got to the pool have not yet been confirmed.
