Thirteen individuals who went missing in Phulchoki Forest, located in Godawari Municipality, Lalitpur, have been found and are in contact with the police. The group went for a hike on Monday, and after reports of their disappearance, the police launched a search operation.
According to Lalitpur’s SSP Shekhar Khanal, all 13 individuals have now reached out to the authorities. “They have been in contact with us,” said SSP Khanal, adding that a police team is currently escorting them back.
Phulchoki Hill, which stands at 2,761 meters, is the highest peak surrounding the Kathmandu Valley and is a popular spot for winter hikes, often drawing large crowds.
