The prestigious Budha Subba Gold Cup is scheduled to take place in Magh at the Dharan Stadium. Eight teams, including five A-Division clubs from Nepal and two international teams, will compete for the championship.

The participating teams include last year’s champion NRT, league champion Church Boys United, Nepal Police Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, Machhindra Football Club, Bhutan Football Academy, UK FC from India, and the host Dharan Football Club. Additionally, teams like the Kakarbhitta Football Training Center from Jhapa and National Awakening Club Itahari will add to the excitement.

The winner of the tournament will receive a cash prize of NPR 1 million, while the runner-up will be awarded NPR 500,000. Individual awards include NPR 100,000 for the best player, NPR 15,000 for the Man of the Match, NPR 35,000 for the highest scorer, and NPR 25,000 each for players excelling in specific categories.

The organizers anticipate a total expenditure of NPR 9.875 million, with expected revenue reaching NPR 10.225 million. Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City is taking the lead in coordinating this much-anticipated event.

The Budha Subba Gold Cup has always been a highlight of Nepal’s football calendar, and this year promises an exciting competition with top-notch teams vying for glory.
