The biggest internal upgrade is the chipset. The S24 Ultra runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (4nm), while the S25 Ultra features the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy (3nm), which is more power-efficient and faster.
Both models have 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, and run Samsung’s One UI (Android 14 for the S24, Android 15 for the S25). While benchmark tests show performance improvements in the S25 Ultra, real-world usage differences are minimal. Gamers and power users might notice a smoother experience, but for everyday tasks, the changes are less significant.
Camera: A Small but Useful Ultrawide Upgrade
Samsung has retained its powerful camera system in both models, but the S25 Ultra brings one key improvement:

Should You Upgrade?
The S25 Ultra offers small but meaningful refinements, including a stronger build, a slightly larger display, an upgraded ultrawide camera, and a more efficient processor. However, it does not introduce groundbreaking changes.
- If you already own an S24 Ultra, upgrading may not be necessary unless you value the minor improvements or can get a good trade-in deal.
- If you’re using an older model, the S25 Ultra is a solid choice, but the S24 Ultra remains a fantastic option at a lower price.
