Ward Chairman Bal Bahadur Gurung of Bandipur Rural Municipality-6 in Tanahun has been arrested for assaulting Ward Secretary.
The District Police Office, Tanahun, arrested Ward Chairman Gurung for assaulting Ward Secretary Navin Bhusal. According to the rural municipality’s letter, the police took Gurung into custody.
The incident occurred on Monday morning during office hours when a dispute arose over the payment of a volleyball tournament bill. Ward Chairman Gurung physically assaulted Secretary Bhusal, who sustained injuries. Bhusal received initial treatment at Bandipur Hospital.
He has been taken to Bharatpur for further treatment.
