A 63-year-old man has been arrested in Arghakhanchi on charges of raping a disabled woman.
The suspect, identified as Govinda Prasad Basyal of Sandhikharka Municipality-12, Kallabot, was taken into custody from Sandhikharka-1, according to the District Police Office, Arghakhanchi.
Police stated that Basyal has been remanded for five days by the court for further investigation. A complaint had been filed against him, accusing him of raping a 26-year-old woman a year ago.
The victim, classified as having a Category A disability, was reportedly employed by Basyal for household work. It is alleged that he took advantage of her vulnerability and raped her when no one else was present. Three months ago, the victim gave birth to a child.
