The government has dismissed Kulman Ghising from his role as the Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
The decision was made during a cabinet meeting at Singha Durbar on Monday evening, according to a minister.
Earlier, the cabinet had repeatedly asked for an explanation after the concerned minister failed to remove Ghising from his position.
To justify his removal, his performance was intentionally rated as poor.
Meanwhile, the government has appointed Hitendradev Shakya as the new Managing Director of NEA.
