8 Absconding Defendants Arrested in Banking Offense and Check Dishonor Cases

The Syanja District Police have arrested eight absconding individuals who had been on the run after being convicted in banking offense and check dishonor cases by the Syanja District Court.

According to the police, this operation is part of a broader campaign to enforce court decisions effectively and ensure justice. The goal is to create a safe and fair society by carrying out judicial actions promptly.

Defendants Handed Over to Court

District Police Office spokesperson DSP Prasanna Raj Chaudhary confirmed that the arrested individuals have been handed over to the district court for further legal procedures.

The police also stated that the arrest of these individuals is expected to help collect a total revenue of NPR 16.1 million (approx. 1 crore 61 lakh 8 thousand 442 rupees).

Details of Penalties and Sentences

  • Bhimbahadur Bishwakarma: Sentenced to 23 days in jail and fined NPR 8 million in a banking offense case.
  • Batti BK: Sentenced to 1 day in jail and fined NPR 100,000.
  • Kamala KC: Fined NPR 7.98 million for a banking offense.
  • Shivalal Lamsal: Fined NPR 16,750.

In check dishonor cases:

  • Jhawanath Bhandari: Fined NPR 2,000.
  • Amaraj Gurung: Fined NPR 1,000.
  • Gangamaya Gurungseni: Fined NPR 582.

In a separate assault case:

  • Dhalbahadur Sunar: Fined NPR 110.
