Pooja Hegde has officially wrapped up her portions for the highly anticipated film Jana Nayagan, which stars Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay in what is expected to be his final film. Taking to Instagram, Pooja shared a simple yet emotional update, writing, “And with today’s shoot, it’s a wrap for me on Jana Nayagan.”
This marks the second time Pooja and Vijay have teamed up after their previous collaboration in Beast, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Reflecting on her experience, the actress recently told The Times of India that working with Vijay again was a deeply emotional experience. “I’m excited to be back on set with him,” she said, praising his humble demeanor and effortless professionalism. “He makes everything feel so smooth on set.”
Speaking about Jana Nayagan being Vijay’s final film before stepping away from cinema, Pooja admitted feeling bittersweet about the project. “A part of me is sad that it’s his last film because we love to watch his films… but more than anything, it should be treated as a celebration,” she shared.
Directed by H. Vinoth, Jana Nayagan boasts a stellar ensemble cast, featuring Vijay in the lead alongside Pooja Hegde and Bollywood’s Bobby Deol. The film also stars Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani, and Mamitha Baiju in key roles.
