Fans of early 2000s Bollywood have a big reason to celebrate! The famous trio behind the hit film Aashiq Banaya Aapne — Emraan Hashmi, Himesh Reshammiya, and director Aditya Datt — are coming together once again. Producer Deepak Mukut announced their new project titled Gunmaaster G9, which also stars Genelia D’Souza and Aparshakti Khurrana.
Deepak Mukut shared an exciting video, saying, “Doodh to baroodh, Sabzi to Gundas, bullets to beats, Gunmaaster G9 is set for mayhem! The team is locked, loaded, and ready to go. We are thrilled to bring back Emraan Hashmi, Aditya Datt & Himesh Reshammiya along with Genelia and Aparshakti for this new-age action drama releasing in 2026.”
Aditya Datt, known for films like Table No. 21 and the Commando series, called this project a full-circle moment. “When we made Aashiq Banaya Aapne, we were young and experimental. Now, with Gunmaaster G9, we are sharper and more evolved. I’m thankful to Deepak Mukut for trusting us.”
Producer Deepak added, “This film will be slick, emotional, and have wide appeal. We support directors like Aditya with fresh visions. With Emraan, Genelia, and Aparshakti onboard, the cast is perfect to bring this powerful story to life.”
Filming will start in Mumbai after the monsoon season, followed by a schedule in Uttarakhand. Emraan Hashmi will be seen in a new action-packed role, with the film expected to hit theaters in 2026.
