A scooter collided with a parked mini truck in Byas-1, Amreni, Tanahun, on Monday afternoon, killing the rider and injuring a passenger.
The accident occurred when a scooter (Ga 22 Pa 3989) heading from Dumre to Damauli hit a stationary mini truck (Ba 1 Ka 8714) on the left side of Prithvi Highway.
According to DSP Ashok Thapa of Tanahun District Police Office, the deceased has been identified as around 25–30-year-old Sagar Neupane of Byas-12, Chhirkane.
The injured, 60-year-old Krishna Maya Pant from the same area, has been referred to Gandaki Medical Hospital in Pokhara after initial treatment. Doctors declared Neupane dead upon arrival at Ratnahari Hospital.
