A 41-year-old woman has been arrested in Saptari district after police discovered a large stash of marijuana hidden on her property.
According to authorities, Rekha Kumari Mandal, a resident of Rajgadh Rural Municipality-3 in Nargau, was found in possession of 388 kilograms and 730 grams of illegal marijuana. A police team from Kalyanpur Area Police Office conducted the raid on Sunday morning.
During the search of her home, police discovered the marijuana packed inside 12 sacks. The contraband was hidden in various parts of the property, including an under-construction toilet, a cowshed, and a nearby bamboo grove.
Police say further investigation is underway regarding the origin and intended distribution of the seized drugs.
