The wait is finally over! Yash Raj Films has officially announced Saiyaara, marking the much-anticipated Bollywood debut of Ahaan Panday, cousin of actress Ananya Panday. The romantic drama, helmed by Mohit Suri and presented by Aditya Chopra, is slated for a theatrical release on July 18, 2025.
The announcement was made on April 22 via the official Instagram handle of Yash Raj Films. The post revealed not just the title, Saiyaara, but also introduced Ahaan’s co-star—Aneet Padda, known for her role in Amazon Prime Video’s Big Girls Don’t Cry. Alongside a romantic-themed poster, the caption teased, “Theirs is a love story like no other…”
The production, led by Akshaye Widhani, marks the first collaboration between YRF and director Mohit Suri, who is known for crafting emotionally intense love stories like Aashiqui 2. The film promises to be a passionate romantic saga, and expectations are already sky-high.
For those unfamiliar with Ahaan Panday’s background—he’s the son of Chikki and Deanne Panday and the younger brother of social media influencer Alanna Panday. While this marks his first on-screen appearance, his journey with Yash Raj Films began nearly six years ago when he was signed as a YRF Talent. Since then, he has undergone rigorous training under the mentorship of Aditya Chopra himself.
Sources had previously revealed that Chopra has been meticulously planning Ahaan’s debut to make it one of the grandest launches for a newcomer in recent memory. Director Mohit Suri, too, was reportedly eager to cast a fresh face as the leading man in his next love story, seeing great potential in Ahaan’s screen presence and charisma.
On a related note, YRF is gearing up for another massive release this year—War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, which is scheduled to hit cinemas on August 14, 2025.
