A bus traveling from Kathmandu to Ramechhap met with an accident in Dhulikhel. The accident happened at Sharda Batase, Ward 10 of Dhulikhel Municipality, along the BP Highway. Seventeen people were injured in the incident.
The bus, with registration number Bagmati Province-3-01-005 Kha 9942, lost control and overturned into a roadside ditch at around 8:20 AM today.
According to Assistant Constable Rudra Lamichhane from the temporary traffic police post at Kavre Bhanjyang, the injured include the bus driver, co-driver, and 15 passengers. There were 24 people on board.
The injured have been taken to Dhulikhel Hospital for treatment. The driver and co-driver sustained serious head injuries. The identities of the injured have not been confirmed yet.
The bus remains at the accident site, and traffic on the highway is partially affected.
Police stated that the bus was heading towards Pokali in Okhaldhunga via Dhobi and Dhade in Ramechhap.
