This follows a similar situation earlier this week when the match between South Africa and Australia was also abandoned due to rain in Rawalpindi.
This was the first-ever meeting between Pakistan and Bangladesh in the Champions Trophy. Both teams were seeking consolation wins but ended up finishing the group stage with equal points.
India and New Zealand have already secured their places in the semifinals from this group. The winner of the upcoming India vs New Zealand match will determine the top two positions in this group.
The fate of the semifinal spots from Group B will be decided after Friday’s match between Afghanistan and Australia. The winning team will advance to the semifinals, while the losing team will be eliminated from the competition.
