GuMiho joins S8UL

S8UL, one of the biggest names in esports and gaming content, is making waves in the gaming world by signing the legendary South Korean player, GuMiho. Known for his unique skills and strategies in StarCraft II, GuMiho is now part of S8UL, marking the organization’s entry into the world of real-time strategy (RTS) games.

This move is a huge step for S8UL as they expand their reach across global esports titles that have shaped competitive gaming history.

Who is GuMiho?

GuMiho, also known as “The Towel Terran,” is a fan-favorite and a brilliant strategist in the world of StarCraft II. He is recognized for his creative playstyle and use of unorthodox strategies, especially with mech-based unit compositions.

The Towel Terran became a global name in 2017 when he won the GSL Code S Championship, defeating soO in the final. His dedication to his craft and his distinctive style, where he plays with a towel over his hands, earned him the iconic nickname “The Towel Terran.” His mastery of mechanical Terran builds led to his second title, “The Mech God.”

GuMiho’s recent success proves he’s still at the top of his game. In December 2024, he won a thrilling series against Clem at HomeStory Cup XXVI. Earlier, he claimed victory in the HomeStory Cup XXV grand final against ShoWTimE, proving his skills are as sharp as ever.

GuMiho’s New Journey with S8UL

Speaking about his new journey with S8UL, he shared his excitement: “Joining S8UL feels like stepping onto a new playing field with the same hunger to win. Their drive to break barriers in esports matches my own competitive spirit. I’m ready to give it my all and compete at the highest level again, this time with S8UL by my side.”

Animesh Agarwal, also known as 8Bit Thug and the CEO of S8UL, expressed his excitement about the signing: “GuMiho is a living legend, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to the S8UL family. Our entry into StarCraft II is all about paying homage to the roots of esports and competing with the best. The Towel Terran’s legacy embodies everything S8UL stands for. This is a proud moment for Indian esports as we aim for success at the EWC 2025.”

S8UL’s Growing Impact in Esports

With GuMiho now part of their team, S8UL is set to compete across many titles in EWC 2025, including Apex Legends, EAFC 25, Call of Duty: Warzone, Tekken 8, Chess, and now StarCraft II. S8UL continues to show that esports knows no borders, no genres, and no limits.

S8UL has already achieved global recognition, winning ‘Esports Content Group of the Year’ for three consecutive years at the Esports Awards. Now, with GuMiho on board, they’re writing a new chapter in the global esports story.
