Two major clubs, Chelsea and Manchester United, were both defeated in the Premier League.
Chelsea lost 2-0 to Ipswich Town, missing the chance to move up to second place. Goals for Ipswich were scored by Liam Delap and Omari Hutchinson. Chelsea’s João Félix scored a goal, but it was ruled out by VAR.
After the loss, Chelsea remains in fourth place with 35 points from 19 games. Ipswich moved up to 18th place with 15 points, still struggling in the relegation zone.
In another match, Manchester United lost 2-0 at home to Newcastle. Alexander Isak and Joelinton scored for Newcastle in the first half.
With the win, Newcastle climbed to fifth place with 32 points from 19 games. Manchester United continues to struggle and is in 14th place with 22 points from 19 games.
