Chhaava’s Box Office Blitz: Vicky Kaushal’s Film Crosses ₹200 Crore in 5 Days

Vicky Kaushal’s latest historical epic, Chhaava, continues its triumphant run at the global box office, showing no signs of slowing down even on weekdays. The film, which has captivated audiences with its grand storytelling and powerful performances, soared past the coveted ₹200 crore mark worldwide by its fifth day in theatres.

Chhaava Storms Past ₹200 Crore Milestone

According to trade reports from Sacnilk, Chhaava has amassed a staggering ₹165.75 crore net (₹198.85 crore gross) in India within just five days of release. Complementing its domestic success, the film has also made a significant impact overseas, raking in an additional ₹30 crore. This brings the film’s total worldwide collection to an impressive ₹228.85 crore.

Notably, Chhaava is the first Bollywood film of 2025 to breach the ₹200 crore mark. In doing so, it has also outpaced Sky Force, the previous record-holder starring Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya, which had collected ₹168 crore.

Maharashtra’s Love for Chhaava

A major contributor to Chhaava’s stellar performance has been its immense popularity in Maharashtra. The film, which brings to life the legacy of the revered Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, has found a deep emotional connection with audiences in the state. Cities like Mumbai and Pune have reported exceptionally high occupancy rates, with some theatres witnessing houseful shows well in advance. Even on Tuesday, a regular working day, Pune theatres recorded an impressive 70% occupancy.

The star-studded cast also includes Rashmika Mandanna, Vineet Kumar Singh, Ashutosh Rana, Neil Bhoopalam, and Diana Penty. The film, released on February 14, opened to a mix of critical reviews but received resounding applause from audiences.

As Chhaava continues its roaring success at the box office, it remains to be seen just how high this historical drama can soar in the coming days.
