Manoj Kumar Bhetwal, the contractor of Kathmandu View Tower, was arrested on Friday on charges of banking fraud related to a bounced check worth around 10 crore rupees. Immediately after his arrest, he was secretly admitted to Ham’s Hospital in Kathmandu, where he was placed in cabin number 812. Police sources indicated that Bhetwal was not seriously ill but was admitted to the hospital likely due to his influence. Initially, there was confusion about his arrest status, but after complaints to higher authorities, the police formally arrested him on Friday evening. The Kathmandu District Police Office confirmed the arrest and stated that the investigation is ongoing, with Bhetwal’s custody extended for further inquiry.
