Who else is retiring?
Along with Kunwar, several senior officers are also retiring. AIGs Tek Prasad Rai, Buddhiraj Gurung, Durga Singh, Kuber Kadayat, and Janak Bhattarai, who were Kunwar’s batchmates, are leaving the force. Additionally, DIGs Dhruba Raut, Bhola Rawal, and Ganesh Chand are also set to retire soon.

However, the government selected Thapa based on his seniority, efficiency, and experience.
How long will Thapa serve as IGP?
