The wait is almost over! Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri’s much-anticipated film Dhadak 2 is finally ready to hit the big screen. After delays in its theatrical release, the romantic drama is now scheduled to release in cinemas on August 1, 2025.
Ahead of the film’s release, the makers unveiled a brand-new poster featuring the lead pair. In the poster, Triptii gazes lovingly at Siddhant, capturing the emotional intensity of their characters, Vidhi and Neelesh. The dramatic tagline reads: “When surrender means death… fight.”
But the excitement doesn’t stop there. The official trailer of Dhadak 2 will be released on July 11, as confirmed by co-producer Karan Johar, who shared the poster on Instagram with the caption:
“Do ek dhadak. Dhadak2 trailer out this Friday. Releasing in cinemas on 1st August.”
Directed by Shazia Iqbal, Dhadak 2 is a spiritual sequel to the 2018 film Dhadak, which starred Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor. While it follows a new storyline, it promises to explore similar themes of love, conflict, and class divide.
Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi shared his thoughts on the film in a recent interview with NDTV, saying:
“We have made a really strong and rooted film. Usually, I get cast in urban roles, but I come from Ballia in UP. This is my first time exploring a story like this. It’s a great script, and working with Triptii was amazing.”
The music of Dhadak 2 is composed by Shreyas Puranik, with Siddharth-Garima penning the lyrics.
